Steps one should take to take care of their foosball table.

How To Take Care of Your Foosball Table

When you buy a foosball table you should know how to properly take care of it so it can provide you with many years of fun and entertainment. There are certain steps that an owner should take to keep their foosball table in tip top condition. Here are some steps you should take to take care of your table.

Routine maintenance is the best way to care for your foosball table. You should not allow the table to get so dirty or worn out that it causes a problem when playing the foosball game. Instead you need to keep up with the routine maintenance before it gets too bad as this is how many tables get ruined for good. There are several things that you should do regularly to keep your foosball table in good working condition.

Use a 70% rubbing alcohol and water mixture to clean your foosball table. Simply put the mixture into a spray bottle and evenly spray it over the table. The mixture will evaporate if you miss a spot cleaning it. Use a clean cloth that will not scratch the surface to wipe the table clean. Be sure that you get into the corners and the goals as those are the hardest places to clean. Having a clean table helps to insure that the foosball game will be played correctly and that you won't have problems playing due to a dirty table or ball. It's recommended that you clean your table at least once a week. If you play on it quite often, then you may want to clean more than once a week.

When cleaning a foosball table you also have to pay attention to the rods on the table. Clean the rods with a towel once a week as well. This helps to aid in a smooth slide on the rod so it does not stick during the game. When you notice that the rods need lubrication, be sure to use a silicone lubrication on the rods. Be sure to not use too much, as you only need a little drop for the whole bar. Make sure that you don't get any of the silicone lubrication on the table top or the handles on the bar, as tshis will cause slick spots.  When applying the lubrication turn the round slowly to make sure you have even distribution. Don't pull the rod back and forth as that will just cause the lubrication to wear right off.

Lastly, if you want a properly maintained foosball table, you can take extra precautions by covering it with a sheet or cover to protect the top of it from dirt and dust. Like any other play table, dust and dirt want to be avoided. Having a cover over the table while you are not using it can help ensure that the table stays cleaner and that you will not have to clean it every day instead of once a week. A simple bed sheet can do the trick if you wish.

It seems silly to invest your money into a foosball table and then not care for it. Be sure that you follow these steps for proper maintenance and you be enjoying your table for years to come.
