These days
anything can be on a t-shirts from sports teams, candy, drinks,
cartoons, slogans….the list goes on and on. They are used to get an
idea out there or even to get a laugh.
It all
starts with an idea that begins the designing your logo, design,
catch phrase or whatever it is you want on your shirt. Consider
keeping the design simple and straight forward if you are creating in
large amounts. Many companies allow you to draw up your own design
and upload it for them to print off. Or have them help you get your
idea out of your head. Nothing is off limits with technology on your
side design possibilities are endless. Once you have that all figured
out you choose the right color shirt that will best suit your logo or
phrase to make it the most visible or memorable. Most people use
white, black and grey, but any color can be used. Keep in mind the
colors if any used in your design- you do not want them to be faded
or less visible because of the shirt color. To get your design to the
largest crowd keeping it monochromatic (for example all black and/ or
white) is often the best choice as it will be able to be used on a
larger variety of colored shirts to suit a bigger crowd.
Now that
you have created your logo/ design/ catch phrase and you have chosen
your color (or colors) you need to choose your style or styles of
shirts and/ or other items such as Athletic Shorts, totes, hats, sun
visors, water bottles, etc that you are interested in offering to the
masses for your event, workplace, prize giveaway or whatever reason
you have. Styles of shirts range widely:
Tee
Shirts
Athletic
Tees
Ladies
Tees
Corporate
Casuals
Long
Sleeve
Pocket
Tees
Fleece

if it is for a sporting event or team; consider printing on Athletic
type clothing, and likewise for a music concert or an awareness group
keep in mind the target customer group.
Custom
designs are often used for business for uniforms or to promote a
special event like a grand opening or huge sale. These are a great
marketing tool so have fun with the possibilities. Find yourself a
reputable company to help you with all your designing needs, quality
work is very important. You do not want to hand out items that
quickly wear out or peel off the shirts or other items you have
printed up. You want your design to withstand time for as long as
possible.
However, if
you are creating just for yourself to snazz up your wardrobe have fun
with it. Customize to fit your personal vibe. Announce your crush, if
you are team Edward or Jacob, or just add some flare to boring ol’
store bought items. Since you are not creating for a large group
adding as much color or complexity is not an issue as you will
probably only put the design on one or two items. Still seek out a
great company to help you out.
